Production of biodegradable composite plates from cross-linked starch and cellulosic fibers

Plastic used in food packaging causes permanent damage to living things. Therefore, biodegradable has gained importance. In this study, composite plates made from cross-linked wheat starch and cellulose-based fibers were examined for their physical mechanical properties. The properties significantly altered when the obtained examined. According texture analysis, plate with lowest brittleness highest crushing toughness value was produced 7% carboxymethylcellulose. densities of found be 0.171 g/cm³, lower than natural starch. It determined that water resistance carboxymethyl cellulose. Added cellulosic (commercial cellulose, linter fiber, hemp fiber) reduced moisture absorption air, reducing average content 8.71. All which content, completely disappeared nature within 40 days.
